Rachel L. Purcell joins Mill Creek Residential as CFO
Mill Creek Residential Welcomes Rachel L. Purcell as Chief Financial Officer
Industry veteran joins the rapidly growing Mill Creek Residential team
Dallas, Texas – November 2, 2011
Mill Creek Residential Trust LLC announces the appointment of Rachel L. Purcell as Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the company’s financial and administrative functions. Rachel joins with 20 years of financial and systems management experience in the real estate industry. Her background includes oversight of all aspects of accounting and finance as well as directing IT and HR operations. She is a proven leader who develops efficient operating systems that meet regulatory and compliance needs.

Prior to joining Mill Creek Residential, Rachel was the CFO at Snelling Staffing, LLC, a national staffing service bureau. Rachel’s career also includes serving as the Chief Financial Officer of CAS/Riverstone Residential (one of the largest multifamily property managers in the U.S.) and Chief Accounting Officer of Trammell Crow Residential. Rachel spent nine years at Deloitte in the audit department serving various private and public real estate companies in Texas, California, and Minnesota.
Mill Creek Residential, after just one year, has already more than doubled in personnel. The company is under construction on 2,400 units across the country, with a large pipeline for 2012/2013, including acquisition opportunities. Brindell notes, “The addition of Rachel to our team is timely; it allows Mark Dempsey, who acted as both CFO and Executive Managing Director for Acquisitions, to intensify our focus on multifamily acquisitions across core US markets.”
Rachel is a graduate of the University of Southern California, and holds her CPA license in Texas and California. She is a member of Financial Executives International, Real Estate Financial Executives Association, American Institute of CPA’s, and Commercial Real Estate Women. Rachel has served on the board of CREW, acted as an ambassador for FEI, and is active in the local alumni association for USC.
